How to: Neutral eye makeup

Hello Lovelies!

I'm back from skiing and in one piece! :) I did a tutorial for a neutral eye makeup. A tutorial everyone can follow as it's full of pictures (click to make bigger).

Here is what we're going for:

So, let's just start.

1. Start with a clean base (I've used jojoba oil to remove the previous makeup, that's why I'm shining :D).
(extra step: Apply primer if you want.)

2. Take a big brush, anyone will do.

3. I'll be using these 2 colors. The lighter one for the base, the darker one for the crease.

4. Apply the base color all over the eyelid

5. Take a smaller brush for the crease

6. Start at the outer corner of the eye and continue to the inner side of your eye

7. Apply more in the outer corner (to make it darker) and some under the lower lash line

8. Take a clean brush (the bigger the better) and smudge!

9. Apply your favourite mascara :)

Ta-dah! Easy right?

And the best part? You can use any colors you want to make it bolder :)

The result:

This very natural makeup goes great with red lips!

NOTD: Essence Cute as Hell nail polishes

I came back from skiing just for a day (tomorrow I'm going back for 3 more days).
The Cute as Hell collection is really really hard to get, so I'm lucky I got it! :)

The colors are amazing.

From left to right:
- Naughty but Nice
- Bad Girl
- Not Just Cute
- Date me!

At first I wanted to get just Date me! (purple) but now I really like all of them!

How do you like them?

EOTD: Almost Purple

Not again? :P Well this eye makeup started off as a purple makeup but it almost faded away until evening. So I added some pink tones and now it is pink :)

I still love purple! :)
I think I'm developing an obsession with lipsticks. The more they are pigmented, the better! I have to get my hands on the Neon Orange (102) and Hot Neon Pink (106) from Stargazer :)

NOTD: Funky French

After a really long time I decided to do a french manicure (beacuse I bought a french manicure pen!) :) But I wouldn't be me if I'd leave it alone/plain. So I've added some glitter just to make it more special.

With flash:

Without:

I kind of don't like it. I'm already planning another manicure (red or coral) :)

And I have a sad news! My Eyeko disco polish has dried out! :(

Review: Skinfood Mushroom BB Cream

Today's review is about Skinfood Mushroom BB Cream. BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. It is rumored the BB cream was invented in Germany. It was used as an after treatment by dermatologists on patients who underwent laser skin treatment. It helps to soothe, protect and regenerate the skin after such a treatment. After that Korean celebrities began using this cream and this started off a a big trend (especially in Korea).
It is like a moisturized foundation that is good for your skin (sounds like a dream to me) :)
You can find the Mushroom BB Cream in 2 shades: #1 (for light-toned people) and #2 (for darker people). I have #1 and it suits me perfectly. I got this from ebay for 13 $ but on their official page you can get it for 65 $ (I can't figure out why such a difference).

This cream smells very good, like lemon grass (very subtle). I was really excited when I got it, since it promises you to cover up blemishes and even out the skin tone. Since I started using it I didn't notice (as some do) any improvement of my acne (yes they come and go) but the application of it gives you a glowing effect.

So how does it work?
You apply it as foundation. It feels very light and not-cakey at all! You have to leave it to absorb for a minute or two before you apply your concealer or pressed powder.

I got this cream a few months ago (I think it was October) and now I'm almost at it's end, so I got another one! :D I use it every morning as it moisturizes my skin (but if you got dry patches I suggest you to use a good cream on those areas) and covers up the blemishes. But this is more like a cream mixed with foundation so don't expect full coverage!

Pros

+ The smell
+ Very cute package
+ SPF 20
+ Whitening properties
+ Anti-aging propeties
+ Very light feeling on skin
+ Covers up blemishes
+ Evens up skin tone
+ Moisturizing
+ Absorbs very quickly

Cons

- The ingredients are in korean
- When the bottle is only 1/3 full it gets hard to control the amount of product that comes out

Rating: 5/5 ★★★★★
Price: 13 $ on Ebay
Repurchase: Yes

P.S. I have changed some rules on my giveaway (all who wrote a blogpost about it have gotten another entry). That means you don't have to blog about it to enter! :)

NOTD: S-he 208 + nail haul

Today I rediscovered this orange beauty in my collection.
It's a vivid orange with a red undertone and orange flakes/glitter. It felt just perfect for today :)

And a nail polish haul (in Muller they have a discount to 0,95 € of certain Essence products)!

I bought a French manicure pen (for 0.95€ otherwise 3 €), green nail polish (53 All access), coral nail polish (52 Wild things), purple nail polish (54 Hot stuff) and Nail art Glitter topper (01 Glitter deluxe).

What a bargain ;)

EOTD: Simply Colorful + mini haul

Helllooooo :))

I went to the only store that sells wet n wild in Slovenia. I wanted to get some nail polishes but they only have like 10 colors and all are kind of classically blah. But I've read some good things about their lipsticks so I decided to give them a try. I bought 2 lipsticks (one orange with sheer coverage and pink with total coverage). I also got 2 Gosh eye pencils (lemon soda & blueberry ice) discounted! :D

How the lipsticks look like

1. Orange one (25)

2. Pink one (32)

I really like them :) They last for long time! But the smell reminds me of old lipsticks (boh?)

And now to the very very simple eye makeup I wore today. I just used the new Gosh pencils.

How to: Red lips

I decided to do a tutorial about red lips, since there are a lot of people who don't know how to.
A good base is vital :)

To get a good base exfoliate your lips with an old toothbrush
Than moisturize

Now let's move to how to apply lipliner (or just how I do it). A good application of your lipliner will make your lipstick last longer.

I start in the center of the upper lip

And than I continue with the sides and I fill up the upper lip.

Than I move down the sides

And again start at the centre of my lower lip
And fill it up
The result:
To check if your application is even just pretend you're blowing a kiss

So now we have applied the lipliner and we'll be applying a lipstick or a red lip gloss (I prefer gloss).

Here is a great trick for lipgloss: just put your index finger in your mouth (close) and pull out. I know how that looks like, so try not to do it in public :P

If you decided to go with lipstick here is also a great tip to remove the excess from your lips. Tissues :D

And if you don't like that very "sharp" edge of your red lips, just apply a coat of pressed powder

The result:

So that's it. It's as simple as that :) I hope I have been useful to some of you. :)
