After a long time another FOTD. Again something simple, but lately I don't feel like doing anything too sophisticated or complicated, so I stick with simplicity.

I've used:

Eyes: UDPP, UD Naked palette, Bourjois Volume Glamour Ultra Black mascara

Face: Everyday Minerals in Fawn, Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Rude

And one edited picture :)

Too bad it looks like the summer is over :/

I've got a new pretty and girly manicure for you today :)

I've used 2 coats of Illamsqua Collide and one coat of Gosh Rainbow on my ring fingers. Even though this nail polish after 2 coats is a bit see through, I like how this manicure turned out :)

NOTD: Pink Crack

I know that the crackle mania is a bit passe, but now there are so many different crackle nail polishes around that I had to grab a few. For the second or third or I can't really remember... I took a light pink base (Depend 201) and put on the crackle nail polish (Depend 5008). I never heard of this brand before, but I found it in our local DM (Drogerie Market) and as it was cheap (2€ for the crackle nail polish and around 1,5€ for the other one) I grabbed a few. It started to crackle instantaneously! Really, great stuff. So than I put on a top coat and I was good to go. The drying time was good as well. I like how they offer a wide range of colorful crackle nail polishes. Lovely.

But the nail polishes were both a bit thicker in consistency, so I had to be a little bit more careful with the base coat (I needed two coats for full opacity).

Actually I bought more things in the past month, but of course I forgot where I put them and so I forgot to photograph them :P

Bosna and Bosnian Pyramids Trip

Hello girls! :)

Long time no see, right?

Well now I've fully charged my batteries and I'm ready for another blogging year! Yay. I have some plans for my future blogging: a birthday giveaway (yup, I've missed it this year as well...), some reviews, some inspirational stories/articles and a lot of what has been happening lately with me :)) Yay for blogs!

First my Bosna experience. I went to Visoko (where the pyramids are) with three strangers and one friend (at the end we were all friends :)) from Slovenia. We went there as volunteers to work on the pyramids. Our work was to dig, excavate and well ... mostly pretend we were working :)) You may ask yourself why pretend? Well that's just the Bosnian experience. For them everything is very slow motion, slow, easy or as they say "polako" :)

Of course that's just my view on it, but as you walk on the streets you notice that people aren't running from point A to B, but rather they are enjoying in the walk even if they're late. Amazing. I have never seen anything like that. In Bosna I have re-

relearned how to just be. You go to a bar and wait 1/2h for the waiter to notice you (or ever better he comes to you telling you that he's going for a smoke, so he won't be around for some time), 1/2h to get the order, 1/2h to tell that you want your receipt and 1/2h to actually pay.You must have quite some time to get some coffee ... ;)

I loved the experience! Even though getting to the digging spot was quite challenging every morning (yay for hiking :P), the work was as though as you took it, the people were kind and the weather was great! It was raining at least 7 days out 12 days we were there (and we didn't work on rainy days :P). What really stuck in my memory were our spontaneous decisions like going on the top of the Pyramid of the Sun in the middle of a thunderstorm. We were soaking wet by the time we reached the top, the ground was very steep (45 degrees), muddy and really hard to walk/climb. But somehow we managed to get on top very easily O.o I felt like Indiana Johnes and I kept singing the theme music :))) We also went to the Pyramid of the Moon and the story was very similar to the Pyramid of the Sun, except it was after the rain :)

To sum up it was fun, especially going to Sarajevo, eating all their local specialities (even though as a vegetarian you don't have a lot to chose), smoking Šiša's, experiencing a different point of view etc.

I will go back to Bosnia, but for a vacation this time :)

I'm just "checking in" to let you know I'm alive and kicking :)

Right now I'm in Bosnia (without my laptop, so no blogging until I come back home) excavating the Bosnian pyramid :)

Yup, a lot has happened since my last post and I can't wait to let you know what :)

I will be staying in Bosna (Visoko) until next Monday and than I will start blogging again, since now I have a lot of material to write about! :)

Review: Born Pretty Store Nail Plates

Long time no see, right?

I've been quite busy in the last couple of days, since I have quite a few exams coming up. Right now I'm studying for an exam I'll write in 3 hours. Yay for that. Not :P

So, today I have a long postponed review for you.

I got this plates a couple of months ago (yup, bad blogger) from Born Pretty Store and I've used them quite a lot from then.

As you can see you get a lot of different patterns in this set! And I haven't used all of them yet!

Pros:

+ the price

+ a lot of different patterns

+ easy to use

+ easy to clean

+ the packaging (cute)

+ a Hello Kitty plate

+ the quality

Cons

- you must have your own stamping nail polish (no problem for me, since I have quite some of them)

Price: 12,63$ for 12 stamping plates

Where to get: HERE

Overall: for a great price you get a lot (and I mean really a lot) of different nail plates to play with. If you're already familiar with konading you'll have no problems with it, but if you're new and don't want to spend a whole lot of money on an expensive set, this is the perfect set to start with.

But no matter if you're an expert/nail art addict or a beginner at it, this set offers a lot of space to play with. I especially loved the Hello Kitty plate! :)

NOTD; Deborah Celestial Sky (28)

This time another Deborah beauty :)

This one is called Deborah Celestial Sky (28) and is a gorgeous blue-purple nail polish with subtle holo shimmer in it, but I failed miserably to show the shimmer or the delicate color. Too bad. It needed two coats for full opacity and stayed on my nails for 3 days (yup, can't believe it lasted so long).

Yes, it finally happened! The first blogger meet up in Slovenia. With Flash as the host it was great! :)

We had food (sushi and maki), drinks and a lot of cameras.

I went with a casual look, because it suited my mood plus all of the girls were envious of my flats (they all wore high heels) ;P

Today I'm finally going to show you my makeup I wore for that fashion show.

I wore a really simple makeup for the day (when I did the makeup on others). It was actually a very subtle smoky eyes (but not as subtle as it looks in the photo).

Haha, of course I had to correct my makeup somewhere in between :)

And this is what I had on in the evening plus the hairstylist at the show played a bit with my hair :)

NOTD: Deborah Knock Out Violet (35)

Hello :)

Today I have for you another beauty from the latest Deborah LE.

It's called Knock Out Violet and it's a really knock out purple! It shines as crazy and surprisingly isn't a PITA to photograph as all the other purples I own. I also noticed that it looks blue inside (on artificial light), quite interesting, right?

This one as well needed two coats, but it did chip the next day :/

It dries a bit satin, but no problem for me, since I use a glossy top coat on everything!

NOTD: Deborah Love at First Sight (13)

I'm back in the blogging mode. I had a lot of things to do, some for school (still not over with that), some personal issues (lol, again) and a bit of laziness.

Now I'll start swatching all those gorgeous nail polishes I bought last time. And than I'll finally show you my FOTDs from the fashion show (yup, late :P) and a few reviews (sorry companies :)).

So today I'll show you Love at First Sight (yes, it really was) that is a gorgeous pink jelly with gold glass flecks and glitter in it. It reminds me of Strawberry Fields, but I think that Strawberry fields is darker and has got smaller glitter in it. I think they're completely different (but that comes from someone who has an obsession with nail polishes and an eye for details), so if you'd like to have something similar to CG Strawberry fields, this is quite close.

Ah, I totally forgot! It needed two coats for full opacity and it dried really fast.

I love it!

I'm not sure if I showed you this nail polish before, but it's gorgeous! It looks slightly jelly, but it's really not.

I needed two coats for full opacity and I got a lot of compliments on it. I guess because it's not your usual coral red :) On some lights it's more orange, while on others is more red. Pure Love :)

I wore this nail polish on the Blaž Čuk Fashion Show.

This time a gorgeous Raspberry color is on my nails and this one has got shimmer and holo glitter inside! Wow, how awesome is that? :) It looks like it's more on the jelly side, but it only needed two coats for full opacity. Great texture, great formula and great color! <3

NOTD: KIKO 338 Lavanda Chiaro

This color was a PITA to shot ... as all purples are. Lavender colors are sometimes ever harder to capture, because they all look blue on pictures. So this is how the camera sees it:

But it's actually 1000x times prettier in real life. I needed two coats for full opacity and as all KIKO nail polishes, this one is great as well :)

My first swatch is of this pretty forest green KIKO. Too bad it won't photograph well. It's true color is more similar to the haul picture (it's a true forest green). So, too bad for a crappy swatch :/

I'm back on track. Ow yeah.

I've come to realise that short hair is a little bit high maintenance... so I got another hair cut. This time something very edgy. I love it :)

I don't care how boyish it looks like, what people think about it and how I am supposed to look like. I don't care anymore. Now I just listen to myself and I know that's the only right way.

So I absolutely adore my current haircut :)) It goes well with my current mood/feeling and my style.

Now I'm just waiting for my tattoo appointment and I'm good to go :)

I absolutely adore Torino! It's so green! It has got so many parks and green surfaces. Just amazing.

Torino again.. Yup, here you can see my obsession with scarves ...

My nails are in terrible shape. On my trip I had Essence Better than Gel nails and they left a mess behind :/

But that won't stop me from swatching nail polishes! I bought H&M Spring Nails and there was this nail polish I wouldn't wear in a million years ... yet something triggered my fancy and I tried it. It's not bad. Not bad at all :)

Do you have a color you absolutely don't like? Would you give it a try on your nails?

I never liked brown. Who knows why. After all brown is the color of the earth, trees and everything organic. And I love the nature and trees :) Hm, it looks like I started liking brown (after all it really suits me :P). Heh :))

But Helloooo to all of you! I'm alive and back from Torino and Genova. I have a billion pictures to show you, but first I have to crop, resize and correct the light on them... :) So expect them soon :)

It was magic. Torino is beautiful and I will be returning to it :) while Genova was a bit... blah.

Haul: I Can't Help Myself

I bought something ... again. Lately I can't pass a store without buying something (of course we're talking about cosmetic stores, because I'm usually quite picky about clothes and other stuff).

So this time I got a nail polish for my sister (the confetti one) and three Catrice nail polishes for me. Than I saw the new Essence LE collection and I had to grab the liquid blusher, a gloss and a solid perfume ring (for my giveaway!) :)

I also bought a nice scarf (not in the cosmetic store) as lately it seems I have an obsession with scarves. They're my IT thing this Spring :))

FOTD: Pin Up Nerd

Hello Darlings!

I did this makeup as an exercise for my first ever Pin Up phtotshooting and just because I was home and needed a bit of ~~cam whoring~~ makeup practise :P

So enjoy in the pics.

Nerd is sexy now! I love this trend that has been going on with nerd glasses :) Once being a nerd was everything else except sexy, but now everything has changed! I love that! That just proves to me that fashion is such a frivolous little thing that changes its mind from one moment to another .... and that true beauty and how you feel about yourself shouldn't be conditioned by fashion and by what is supposed to be pretty right now. So feel confident in your skin, no matter how smart and/or pretty you are. Because remember: beauty comes from within.

NOTD: Essence Where Is the Party?

Hello Darlings,

As requested I've swatched one of Essence's latest releases - Where is the party. This nail polish is a very interesting duochrome or even threechrome - it looks purple in one light, green in another and grey in some lights. Amazing. The formula is a bit thicker, but it's very pigmented, so only 1 coat (yup, you've read it right) is needed for full opacity! I think it has got a bit of a frosty finish, since some brush strokes are visible (not so in your face as true frosty finishes).

I've failed miserably to capture the true color of it, as it's more vivid and a darker (not very saturated) lilac color most of the time.

It's definitely something new in my collection :)

Today I'll show you my mini haul.

I needed some new pyjamas, so I went in the search for one. Gosh, there are so many and I didn't like any :/ So in the end I picked the one I liked best.

Since I was in the mood for a new scarf I got one as well (love it).

Than I went to Muller and grabbed some new Catrice Nail Polish (actually had 3 in my shopping bag, but convinced myself, I don't need them right now :P), Essence Crackle Nail Polish (white) for my upcoming giveaway, Essence Black and White duo eyeliner and a new Essence gloss (I love glosses) in Trendsetter.

It's just that it reminds me of the sky and all those gorgeous days when you just go on a walk and don't think about your problems, but instead of the nature that surrounds you.

So how better celebrate the first day of Spring (actually today it's the third, but I wore it on the first) than with a pretty blue manicure that on top of everything sparkles as crazy? :))

Review and Swatches: O.P.I. Texas Lil Shooters

This will be another of those fun, bilingual reviews, since a Slovene company (zapikonai) sent me this cute lil shooters.

To bo še ena izmed tistih zabavnih, dvojezičnih ocen :) Namreč iz zapikonai so mi poslali v oceno štiri nove O.P.I. lakce.

Kako izgledajo. Od leve proti desni: Austin-tatious Turquoise, I Vant to Be A-Lone Star, Do You Think I'm Tex-y?, RapiDry Top Coat

I'll describe them as I've listed them, starting with Austin-tatious Turquoise. Austin-tatious Turquoise is a pretty blue-green (more blue than green) nail polish that shines immensely on the sun and needs three coats for full opacity, but nail lines are still a bit visible under direct light. The application wasn't problematic at all, even though the nail polish is on the watery side.

Opisala jih bom po vrsti, tako kot sem jih naštela, začenši z Austin-tatious Turquoise. Austin-tatious Turquoise je lep modro-zelen (bolj moder kot zelen) lak za nohte, ki se zelo lepo sveti na soncu. Potrebuje tri plasti za polno prekrivnost, vendar so linije nohta še vedno rahlo vidne pod močno svetlobo. Nanos je bil neproblematičen, kljub temu, da je lak bolj voden.

I Vant to Be A-Lone Star was my least favourite from the bunch when I first saw the swatches, but it was my absolute winner when I wore it on my nails. Not sure why, maybe it was the fact, that it needed only 2 coats, or the gorgeous light blue color that looks like light grey on some lights. Who knows? But I love it.

Ko sem si ogledovala vzorce teh lakcev na internetu, mi je bil I Vant to Be A-Lone Star najmanj všeč. Ampak, ko sem si z njim nalakirala nohte, pa je to bila ljubezen na prvi nanos :)) Lak za razliko od ostalih dveh potrebuje le 2 plasti za polno prekrivnost. Je pa I Vant to Be A-Lone Star čudovito svetlo modre barve, ki na določeni svetlobi deluje siv. Ah, popolnost.

Do You Think I'm Tex-y? is a gorgeous jelly berry nail polish. It's a bit darker than in the first picture, but perfect for spring and summer. I didn't have any problems with the application with this one as well, and it needed three coats for full opacity.

Do You Think I'm Tex-y? je čudovit "žele" lak za nohte jagodne barve. V resnici je malo temnejši kot na prvi sliki, ampak še vedno je popoln za pomlad in poletje. Tudi s tem lakom nisem imela nobenih težav pri nanosu in tudi ta lak je potreboval tri plasti za polno prekrivnost.

Pros:

+ Nice colours

+ Non problematic application

+ Fast drying time

+ Different finishes

Cons:

- On the watery side

- Most need 3 coats for full opacity

Price: 11€-13€ for nail polish

Overall: This Lil Shooters Texas collection is a nice mix of different finishes: jelly, creme and shimmer. All the polishes I was sent are really pretty, a bit on the watery side and most of them need 3 coats for full opacity. But since jellys are in again, that's a "flaw" I can easily overlook. The drying time was extremely fast thanks to the RapiDry Top Coat and I've learned that RapiDry Top Coat is also suitable for konading.

Povzetek: Všeč mi je, da so v tej Texas Lil Shooters kolekciji različni finiši (jelly/žele, krem in šimer). Vsi lakci, imajo rahlo vodeno formulo, vendar so letos žele lakci spet "in", zato jim to z lahkoto odpustim :) Zaradi RapiDry nadlaka so se tudi vsi posušili v rekodrno hitrem času, poleg tega pa sem ugotovila, da ja RapiDry nadlak primeren tudi za konadiranje.

It was really easy to do, but it was something completely different from my usual makeup.

It was love at first sight with this color. It has got gold shimmer!

Plus it's opaque in one coat.

You may think this isn't a "me" color, but I love it, because from time to time you have to just relax and let go of vivid colors :P If that even makes sense.

Haul: Essence New Stuff

This time I bought something for me :)

Do you know that Essence has lunched a lot of new things? No, well go check it out if you can.

This is what I got (minus the gel eyeliner that is in the 2nd picture)

This was my first part of the haul (day 1)

Let's break it down:

From left to right: You Belong To Me (pastel blue, perfect for Spring), Let's Get Lost (pretty medium blue), Out Of My Mind (absolutely stunning duo chrome- blue and green), Where Is the Party (another duo chrome-green and purple, Irreplaceable (gorgeous beige with gold shimmer)

From left to right: Circus Confetti (it reminds me of Happy Birthday from Lippmann), Hello Holo (omg it's a holo topper), Cool and the Gang (a TRUE indigo), Bella (hopefully it's a dupe of H&M Bella's Choice, but I doubt it).

I also got 2 eye brushes. One is an angled brush for gel eyeliners and it's sooo soft, love it.

The other one is a crease brush and is truly the softest crease brush I own! If you have a chance, go buy it as it's cheap and better than many other brushes.

Ok, now I'll show you how the gel eyeliner looks like. I picked the purple one, because I love purple (heh, which color I don't love?) And of course I had to stick my finger in it. Do you know what happend? I picked up half of the gel eyeliner with it! (ok, I'm a bit exagerating, but it's extremely soft). I thought, well whatever, I'll test it out. Huh, see for yourself.

It did need some work to work (:D), but to me it wasn't purple. It looked black(ish) and it didn't last more than 3 hours on my eyes (and eyeliners stay put on my eyes).

So I love the nail polishes and adore the new brushes (all their brushes are amazing), but I would skip the gel eyeliner.

I love shopping :) Do you know why? Because I feel like a kid in a candy store with all those colors to chose from. And the best part is, that I can wear those colors (unlike with candy, where you eat them :D) and play with them. So the next time you see me in a cosmetic department giggling like crazy, you'll know why :D

FOTD: Green Makes Me Happy

Yup, you've read it right! The green color really makes me happy as it reminds me of nature, grass and Spring. And all those things make me happy :)

So, as promised here is the makeup that goes great with my Saint Patrick's Day manicure.

Happy happy :)

Don't be fooled by this pictures, this green makeup is very vivid, as I've used Fyrinnae OMGWTF and Sugarpill Absinthe that are both really pigmented and vivid. This look is very similar (by intensity and color) to one of my previous makeups called Velociraptor Said OMGWTF.

The lips (please don't ask me what I've used, as I've mixed 3 different lipstick and can't quite remember which ones) :P

Do you know what happened when I was doing my makeup? I left the little jars of green magic (aka green eye shadows) opened on the shelf and... the OMGWTF one fall on the floor and it's whole content was all over me, the rug and the floor. Hahaha, that really was some green sparkly mess, but I started laughing because I was covered from head to toe in it! You should have seen it, it was hilarious :)))

NOTD: Joyful Saint Patrick's Day

Have a fun and joyful Saint Patrick's Day if you celebrate it!

I don't celebrate it, but I love having a great excuse to wear my favourite color- green.

I'll do a green eye makeup as well to go with this manicure :))

For this manicure I've used Claire's Mood Polish in Happy/Earthy and topped it with Essence Special Topper in Circus Confetti.

Since the Mood Polish Changes it's color according to the temperature, I have to show you how it looks like when hot.

And when cold (actually it's more neon green in RL).

I've used 3 coats for full opacity :)

NOTD: When I Feel Blue ... I Paint My Nails

Do you know when you feel blue and you kind of don't really want to stop feeling blue, since you need a bit of self-pitying? Well... I had one of those days yesterday.

It was becoming really annoying, so I finally decided to do something about it. Heh.

So I painted my nails blue :) And to cheer me up I stamped some smileys on top, so that every time I'd look at it, I would smile/giggle :D

Hm, I'm not really sure why do you say I'm feeling blue? Blue is such a gorgeous colour! It's the colour of the sky, ocean, sleep, twilight. It also stands from inspiration, sincerity and spirituality. So, what's not to love about it? It's also one of my favourite colours beside green and pink :)

1. I paint my nails with a funky theme - that makes me smile every time I look at my manicure

3. I read some hilarious pages like Damn You Autocorrect :D

4. I look at gorgeous pictures online (whatever inspires me at that moment)

5. I sing aloud (that ALWAYS cheers me up).

Snapshots: A Walk After The Rain

I just KNEW I had to take a walk, even though I'm usually a lazy bum that'd rather be in bed reading a good book. But something kept me calling to go take a walk.

And .... I did :)

Too bad I didn't take the little camera with me, just my telephone.

It all started with with a path to the forest near us. It just stopped raining and the sun came out.

I heard birds singing .... and saw a tree full of doves! Too bad the telephone camera didn't see them (I was too far away).

While walking in the forest I saw this lovely bush/tree full of blossoms. I was admiring them and photographing them, when I heard some noise. I checked what it was and it was 5 deer. It was spectacular. They were just about 5 meters from me.

And the last picture was taken just when the sun showed itself again.

But that wasn't it :) I also met 2 dogs on a walk (that wanted to cuddle, especially one).

Ah, so not regretting going for this walk.

In general I love walking by myself in forest and paths in nature as it makes me calm, I can sort out my thoughts/feelings and I feel good about getting some exercise afterwards. Plus it's an active meditation, so I feel in love for the whole day. Ah, tra la la la la ...
