NOTD: Miss Sporty 60

Hi!
This is Miss Sporty nail polish in No. 60 :) It's gorgeous! It really reminds me of Zoya Charla or Essence  Choose Me! not sure why, but maybe because of it's pretty color :)

It took 2 coats and this bottle has got a pretty decent brush.

A bonus picture of my necklace :)

Best of the Web Feature

Hi!

I've been featured HERE.  That is really a honour! :)

What they've written:

Style bloggers are visual creatures, conscious of fine details that your run-of-the-mill viewer (myself included!) might simply overlook. They are finely attuned to the compositions and colors that press the aesthetic button in a person’s head that says that looks good!  Read on for photograph-conveyed style and “everything” inspiration, beauty tricks and tips supplemented by images, and videos courtesy of a new media artist’s site.

XOXO Parisky is dedicated to beauty. Whether it’s nails, makeup looks, reviews, or tutorials you’re looking for, this blog’s got it all. Blog Editor Helena’s “About Me” reads:
I love the little things in life that make you feel alive and beautiful! So a vivid makeup, nails, funky jewellery and clothes are essential to me. But it is not all about beauty! I love to read, learn new things and I can’t survive without music and something crafty to do.

Thank you PocketChange! :)

I support Beauty Bloggers

I support and recognise the beauty bloggers who portray real opinions on products expressing their experiences, obsessions and daily discoveries.

The way in which we buy products are quickly changing, consumers are becoming more aware and are actually researching products before they buy. The internet is proving to become an invaluable source within the beauty community by raising brand and product awareness. Beauty blogging is helping the consumer to make an informed decision; bloggers are increasing by the minute enabling the consumer / researcher to have a wide variety of written material to read from.

The majority of Beauty bloggers are not professionals within the sector; they are blogging as a hobby, as a way of therapy. They do not get paid to blog and do it for the love of beauty. This is what separates them from beauty editors, the reason why they started blogging was because they themselves were researching and experimenting with products and realised they had something to share and wanted to voice their opinion. Beauty bloggers love what they do and are genuinely interested in discovering new and existing products, some are ‘professionals’ in their own right, having a qualification in something does not mean you are a professional, however experience talks.

If you support the beauty blogging community, please add this stamp to your blog if you have one!

Blog Awards

Hello! I got more blog awards! I love them as that means somebody really cares :)

The first one is from Sabbatha from Spooky Nails. Thank you dear!

The rules:

1. Save the image above and post it on your own blog.
2. Pass the award on to 12 fellow bloggers.
3. Link the nominees.
4. Let nominees know they have won this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person you received this award from.

I'm really bad at tagging/passing awards on as I follow and love so many blogs that choosing from is a really hard task. So, I tag YOU!

But I'd like to introduce some new and old blogs:

2. Tamara from Cherrycolors
4. Katja from Oblačilnica

The second award is from Anne at Northern Visions. Thank you :*

For this award you have to tell 7 random facts about yourself. :)

1. I abuse smiles, I put them everywhere (you may have noticed). :D

2. My latest addiction is Plamil's Organic Orange Chocolate Spread (yum yum)

3. I absolutely love trying new foods (and cooking them)

4. I always carry around a bottle of water.

5. I have a problem. I want all sorts of shoes :P

6. But my absolute favourite are  riding boots.
7. I'm fascinated by crazy makeup

FOTD: Evil Panda

Around this time every year I get fascinated by dark, evil and gruesome things XD Plus I needed to try out some things I had in mind for the Illamasqua contest (new brow wax, white Supracolor and new liquid latex).

Luckily I tried everything out, as it turns out the wax isn't so full coverage as I thought, the white color can get very patchy (and it highlights your imperfections) and the liquid latex dries clear.

But anyway since I did something I had to show it to you. It's far from perfect, pretty or decent and I know it :P

My sister said I looked like a scary panda, so hence the name.
But I think I look like a mix between Edward the Scissorhands and an Evil Panda :D

Anyway enjoy in the pics.

The idea for the 1st picture (half face, rotated for 90 degrees) goes to the lovely Nihrida :)

Of course an Evil Panda is always on the look for a new victim

I've used:
Face- Kryolan Brow Wax, Kryolan Supracolor in White
Eyes- Barry M Dazzle Dust in Burgundry Noir and Coastalscents 88 palette
Lips- Kryolan Supracolor in White and Tony Moly Lip Stain in Party Lover

And at least I did some practice with the new liquid latex .. Eh, I have still so much to learn.
Hope I didn't freak you out ;)

Ah, I love crazy, high fashion and theatrical makeup :)

Guest Post: Shop, Swap, Save

Hello Darlings,

This is a guest post written by by Rhian Gillam of the shopping team in moneysupermarket.com.
If you would like to write a guest post about fashion, makeup or any other beauty related topic, please contact me

I love shopping! It doesn’t matter what I am shopping for whether it be clothes, make-up, accessories or creams I could do it all day, everyday. The internet is the worst; I can’t be online without going for a quick visit to my favourite sites for what’s new in or what has gone into the sale. This unfortunately, is not great for my bank account but I have found a few ways to ensure that I save money where possible and have put together some moneysaving tips…

Vouchers/discounts
Many sites now offer discounts and voucher code to try and tempt you in and with winter approaching it’s a great excuse to go shopping for a winter wardrobe. Before going shopping remember to check for discount codes or  vouchers many can be used in stores or online. Most brands now offer some sort of saving or free delivery that can be redeemed on purchases allowing you to buy even more.

Get Creative
There is often something in my wardrobe that I have bought and now find a bit boring or if I have bought items from the high street I sometimes add something to make it a bit different from everyone else’s. You can pick up some great things from a haberdashery that can update a look or change the appearance of once boring item, even if something as simple as changing the buttons on a top or jacket can make a difference. It may be best to start by practicing on old clothing you no longer wear so you can make sure that when you come to do it properly you have perfected the skill needed – I learnt that the hard way.

Swap
Swapping items of clothing with friends can be a good way to get new clothes and get rid of pieces that you no longer wear. Chances are you occasionally borrow clothes from your friends already, such as a dress for a wedding or an outfit for a party but you may not have considered swapping items of clothing rather than borrowing. This could also be a good excuse for a bit of a party, get friends round with their unwanted clothes have a few drinks and see if you can swap some things.

Auction sites
I have found so many good items on auction sites, I love the fact you can find some great vintage pieces without having to rummage in a shop and contend with the musty smell.  It is also a useful way to sell old items of clothing you no longer wear and raise money to replace them with new clothes.
