Review: Cellnique Amino Collagen C Intense Set and Advanced Bio Renewal Masque
I was contacted by Selina at Cellnique to do a review of some of their products.
She asked me what were my biggest skin concerns, so she could send me the appropriate products.
I have mixed skin with large pores and some imperfections (most on my chin).
I got the Amino Collagen C Intense Set and the Advanced Bio Renewal Masque to review. Since I used the Amino Collagen C Intense Set the most, the emphasis of this review will be on it. I was using them for 3 weeks.
But first, a few words about Cellnique:
Cellnique Paramedical is the expert in problematic skin. They believe that all women deserve the best beauty solutions. All Cellnique products are formulated with Cx Formulation. Cx Formulation is an advanced in-clinic formulation that combines the power of biological active ingredients, natural plant extracts, antioxidants and a bio-active delivery system, offering the best performance for immediate and visible results for various skin problems.
Cellnique Amino Collagen C Intense Set
What is Amino Collagen C Intense Set?
It's a highly intensive set, that targets large pores, fine lines and sagging skin.
Selina has also sent me a few really useful information about how and when to use their products, so that I can get the most benefits from them.
Their products page is really interesting as you can get a lot on information: from the description, benefits, usage with tips, ingredients (with pictures), with what goes well together (their other products), reviews and FAQ.
And go HERE to read more about it.
This set is composed from 2 parts: Amino Collagen C Intense I and II.
Ingredients of Amino Collage C Intense I: Glycerin, Purified Water (Aqua), Vitamin C (L-ascorbic Acid), Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Pro Vitamin B5 (D-panthenol), Xanthan Gum, Methyparaben.
Ingredients of Amino Collage C Intense II: Purified Water(Aqua), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Butylene Glycol, Lactamide MEA, Silk Protein (Silk Amino Acids), Sodium Hyaluronate, Rice (Oryza sativa) Bran Extract, Kinetin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methyparaben.
Texture: it's liquid but somewhat dense
Smell: not really pleasant and hard to describe, the Amino Collagen C Intense II smells less intense than Amino Collagen C intense I
Let's move to the picture part. I know you're really interested to see the difference, but be warned, the pictures of me with no makeup (and somewhat grouchy) are not really pretty :)
Click to make bigger.
As you can see before I had some breakouts, red patches, large pores and small acne scarring (that holes).
After 3 weeks of usage, I was really surprised that my lines (near my mouth) are less deep, that my skin looks better, with less imperfections (as it helps to heal them) and smaller pores.
Pros:
+ It works
+ It rejuvenates your skin
+ It makes your fine lines to disappear
+ My skin was soft as baby's skin (hadn't had that in years)
+ The package
+ It heals imperfections (and scars) really fast
Cons:
- The smell
- It really tingles and burns (I guess, I have really sensitive skin)
- I used it up in 3 weeks
- The price (for a student's pocket)
Overall:
It worked and because of that I loved it!
Price: 96 $ for 10 ml x 2

Advanced Bio Renewal Masque
What is Advanced Bio Renewal Masque?
It's a scrub masque that removes dead cells, cleans pores and helps with the renewal of cells.
Where you can learn more about it? HERE
Texture: clay like with small scrub particles
Smell: really strong fruity smell
Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Kaolin, Glycolic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, C12-20 Acid PEG-8 Ester, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Papaya (Carica papaya) Enzyme (Papain), Phenoxyethanol, Trithanolamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Pomelo (Citrus grandis) Peel Extract, Pineapple (Ananas sativus) Fruit Extract, Acrylate / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Potassium Sorbate.
My experience: I've used this masque once per week, for four weeks. This one as well tingled when I applied it, but that feeling went away after 5 minutes. I left it on for 15 minutes and that washed it off with outward circular movements (so that the peeling could work). It left my skin really soft!
Pros:
+ I love the texture of it! It's a masque AND a peeling!
+ It leaves really soft skin
+ Exfoliates your skin
+ Cleanses pores
+ It lasts for a really long time
+ The packaging
Cons:
- The smell (like fertilized ananas)
- The price
Overall: I like how it looks like and how your skin looks and feels after its usage! The smell was a downside for me, but others noticed just the fruity smell.
Price: 51 $ for 50 g

My Latest Photography
I was thinking about posting my latest photography here or no, since now I have another photoblog.
And come to realize that this is my beauty/anything goes blog and photography is a part of my life :)
So here are a few of my latest pictures. First I photographed my sister (Cherrycolors). We did a bit of fashion and fetish photography. It was kind of cool with that ballet boots and all :)
And my latest photography session couldn't be more in contrast with the shot with Tamara :D I took pictures of Matija (11 months). He's adorable :) It was also my first paid commission! Yay for that! Actually I edited 30 pictures of him but I posted just a few. Here are some more.
It was really fun experimenting with something new! :)

OOTD: Cinema Time
Today, after 100 years, we (me and my bf) finally went to the cinema again! We went to see Inception. If you have the chance, go see it, as it is amazing! That's all I'm going to say about it. Amazing but hate the ending.
So, I was wearing this cute dress I bought some time ago at H&M but hated it as it kept raising up? Not sure it that's the word I'm looking for. Anyway I had to pull it down constantly! Now I'll just put some elastic in its lower edge and hope it won't happen again.
Here it's been raining cats and dogs for a while now and I can't take OOTD pictures outside, but I still haven't figured a good place in the house where to shot. So excuse me my really bad Photoshopping here :P
It's just to give you the idea of what I wore.
A very unflattering angle. If you want to take an OOTD picture, NEVER take it from the same height as you are. It will make your legs shorter & fatter and everything will be just weird. See example.
Wearing: H&M dress, cardigan
Muller Necklace (the one with the key) and the other one was a gift to me
Marylin Monroe wedges (for real, I bought them in Italy)
Have fun!
P.S. Yesterday I posted some new pictures I shot on my other blog. HERE

Review and Swatch: Piggy Paint Nail polish and Nail Polish Remover
Hello Lovelies!
Today I received my Piggy Paint polish and Nail Polish Remover to test out. I was really excited as I've heard only good things about them.
What are Piggy Paint nail polishes?
They are natural, non-toxic, odorless and kid-friendly nail polishes.
How to use them?
Check out the picture (way too cute! :)
Ingredients: Water, water-miscible acrylic resins and thickeners (well below 100 parts per million), glycol ethers. May contain mica, D&C red lake, ultramarine blue, iron and titanium oxide pigments
I received Girls Rule! nail polish. It is a pink purple. Actually it's hard to describe this color as it is a purple but with pink undertones and holographic shimmer.
My experience with it: I loved it! It's true that this color is not really my favourite, but the formula is more than amazing! It is very dense but still thick enough so I could get really close to my cuticles (I couldn't go so close with any other polish). The brush is on the softer and longer side, but it works great.
I don't know how else to describe it: it's something you should try to believe it. You get an even application with just one super thin coat! And two coats are opaque and just perfect. There is not any toxic smell (you know that one, that makes you go dizzy) and to be completely honest, when I opened it, it smelled like chocolate to me (no kidding!). I had to smell it a couple of times to realize I was wrong (too bad, but we don't want the kids to eat their nail polish, right?).
Girls Rock! (2 thin coats)
With flash. Notice the pink undertone.
Pros:
+ Non-toxic
+ Odorless
+ Free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone
+ Hypoallergenic
+ The formula and the brush!
+ Many different colors to chose from
+ Water-based formula
++ Cruelty free! (a major plus for me)
+ Safe for use during pregnancy
+ Cute packaging
+ Clever and sweet names
Cons:
- I got some major chips in the first day (without using a top coat).
Overall: Loved it! Even though I got some chips in the first day, it's so easy to apply and it doesn't take too long to dry (on the average side) so that's not a big problem (and with that blow drier technique or a top coat the problem should be solved).
Will I buy again: YES! I want the neons! :)
The price: 8, 99 $
Where to buy: HERE
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I also got their Nail polish remover to try.
What they say about it:
Low odor hypoallergenic nail polish remover. Put harmful, smelly polish removers behind you with Piggy Paint™ Nail Polish Remover, a remover that works quickly on all polishes, especially Piggy Paint™ Nail Polish. Our remover contains none of the solvents that could offend your nose or harm our atmosphere. Aloe Vera and Vitamin E are added to supplement the natural oils that protect nails and cuticles.
Ingredients: Corn alcohol, butyl diglycol, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, embittering agent.
My experience with it: I also tested it today to remove the remains of my previous manicure. It took some more rubbing, but it worked as good as any other nail polish remover plus this one didn't nauseate me or make me light-headed.
Pros:
+ Biodegradable
+ No acetone
+ With aloe vera and vitamin E
+ Didn't dry my cuticles
+ Cute packaging
+ Low odor (unless you smell it from really close, than you can smell the alcohol)
+ Hypoallergenic
+ Doesn't harm the atmosphere
Cons:
- None :)
Overall: I think the idea of a cuticle-friendly and almost odorless nail polish remover is genius!
Will I buy again: YES. It's genious.
Price: 8, 99 $
Where to get: HERE
P. S. The coupon code for 10 % discount on anything on their site (including sale items) is: XO10L (Expires October 2010)
Have fun!
