Review and Swatches: Sleek Makeup Storm and Acid I-Divine Palette
Hello Darlings,
Today I'm going to talk about two Sleek Makeup Palettes - Storm Palette and Acid Palette. The Storm Palette is a very neutral palette, while Acid Palettes is the one with neon colors.
I've seen lots of swatches and reviews about Sleek Makeup Palettes and in all the pictures they look so big! I always thought that they were as big (OK, almost as big) as the Coastal Scents 88 palettes. Nope. Far from it.
See how small are they?
One eye shadow is big as a 2 cents (Euro) coin.
Storm Palette
I got this one, because I lost all hopes I will ever get a Naked Palette (from Urban Decay). The shadows are as with the Naked Palette neutral what is great for everyday wear. Luckily I got the Naked Palette, so that I can compare it with this palette.
Both palettes come with 12 eye shadows that are greatly pigmented. The main difference is (beside the price) the texture/formula. While the Storm Palette eye shadows are great, I feel you need more product to get the same opacity as with the Naked palette and so they bulk up a bit on your eyes. That really isn't a big problem with me, but it means they won't last the whole day on your eyes, but rather 6 hours (I have oily lids and I always use a primer).
Swatches as in the palette (no names :( )
It comes with 12 eye shadows - 3 matte and 9 shimmery
Some looks I did using this palette
Acid Palette
I got this one, because I've heard great things about it and loved the idea of neon shades! Yay for playing with your makeup.
Swatches as in the palette
This palettes comes in 12 eye shadows - 4 shimmery and 8 matte
As you can see this Palette isn't as pigmented as the Storm one :/ Except for the black, silver and the green. But don't be fooled, they are buildable and you can get a really nice effect.
Some looks I did using the Acid Palette
Using both
Pros
+ 12 shadows in each palette (12x 0.03 oz or 1.1g)
+ Both are buildable
+ The Storm Palette is very pigmented
+ Both are very versatile
+ Mineral based
+ The packaging
+ The price
Cons
- The Acid Palette is less pigmented
- No names of the eye shadows
- Their Customer Service (terrible)
Overall
I definitely suggest you this palettes! The Storm Palette is great for neutral looks, while the Acid Palette is the one you can truly play with it (but you can also do a soft makeup). I will buy some more palettes, but NEVER again from their site!
Price: 8.50€ on their site, 10€ in Sephora
Customer Service: 1/5 ★
Rating: 5/5 ★★★★★
Repurchase: Yes

FOTD: Simple
Am I getting boring or what? :P
All that "simple" titles and simple makeup ... doh ...
Well anyway here is another simplicity just for you. I wore this on another exam at Uni (it was veeeery early-at least for me, hence the extra simple makeup).
Do you know what's the really bad news? I noticed that my current crap Bourjois foundation breaks me out!
Damn ... now I need a nice foundation that is suitable for mixed skin, covers well, is very (very) light and isn't tested on animals. Any suggestions?

Hello!
You wanted more FOTD's and I give you plenty of FOTD's :D
I had an exam at Uni and I didn't want to freak out the students/assistant (or draw too much attention on me),
so I went for a subtle makeup.
The flash washed out lots of details in the picture, so check up the closeups for some detail.

FOTD: Birthday
Hello Ladies!
Today I'm going to show you my Birthday makeup :)
At first I wanted to do a really bright neon makeup, but when I've applied the neon yellow and green eyeshadow from the Acid palette I just didn't feel like it (because to pull off/rock something you have to feel it). So I've changed it to something more neutral and wearable.

FOTD: New Year's Eve Makeup
Hello Huns!
Today I'll show what kind of makeup I wore on New Year's Eve. I wanted it to match the nails so I used gold and blue. It was a 15 minutes makeup, so really nothing special.
I used Sleek Makeup Storm and Acid Palette for the eyes.
On my lips I wore Essence This is Me
And a full face picture, so that you can see how it looked (the eye makeup was a bit stronger but the flash washed it away) and yup, the lipstick can look really vivid if you put 2 coats :)
What makeup did you have for New Year's Eve?

How To: Gold New Year's Eve Makeup
Hello!
This time I went for a very simple makeup tutorial for all those girls that have no idea what to put on in the last moment :)
1. We start off with a clean base
2. Apply some eye primer or corrector if you don't have oily lids and wait a couple of seconds
3. Than you take your pretty gold eyeshadow and put it all over your eyelid
4. Take a light yellow eyeshadow and put it in your inner eye corners
5. Draw a thicker black line with an eyeliner
6. Add mascara
If you feel like having a gold smokey eyes add a bit of bronze in your outer corners of the eye. Click HERE if you're not sure what do to.
Ta-da! You're done with your eyes! You can pair this look with bold red lips or any other vivid color. That's it. It's very simple but effective.
For a really nice NY look I suggest a nice pair of earrings or a headband :)
I've used:
Eyes: Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Sleek Makeup Storm and Sparkle Palette, Essence Black Eyeliner, Bourjois Ultra Black Mascara
Face: Bourjois Bio Detox Organic Foundation, Gosh Bronzer
Lips: Sleek Makeup Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac
XOXO Parisky
