Review and Swatches: Illamasqua Toxic Nature
Hello Darlings :)
I really hope you've enjoyed my previous post on Beauty, but now it's time to get back on schedule with reviews of some latest collections. I promise I'll do some more inspirational posts as soon as I can.
Before Illamasqua's latest Spring/Summer 2011 Toxic Nature collection was available for the public to purchase, I got a sleek black box into my mail box. Guess what it was? Some products from Toxic Nature collection!
I got:
- Nail Polish in Gamma
- Cream Pigment in Emerge
- Cream Pigment in Dab
- Lipstick in Flare
-------------------------------------------------------
Cream Pigments
Dab
It's a lilac cream pigment with a matt finish.
Of course I had to try it right away on my eyes and I loved it! It makes my eyes pop and it's such a great colour for Spring as it reminds me of flowers in Spring and the fresh feeling I get in Spring :)
It looks great on the lips as well :)
Emerge
It's a peach cream pigment with matt finish.
I absolutely love this one! I wore it at work and felt so fresh and young with it on the eyes :) It gives you a "no-makeup" look instantaneously.
Emerge is very wearable as a lipstick as it gives you a nude look, but with a bit of colour. I think this may be the next "it" look for this spring.
And the swatches
At first I tried the pigments without any eye primer. They didn't crease for whole 15 minutes on my extra oily lids. Than I applied an eyeshadow on top and they didn't crease for approximately 1 hour and with an primer under the cream pigments they didn't crease for 5 hours, what really is something, if you ask me.
Pros:
+ Fresh Spring colours
+ The texture
+ The formula
+ Great staying power
+ The package
Cons
- Not really suitable for extra oily lids
Price: £17.00

Lipstick in Flare
It's a bright orange lipstick.
I couldn't really capture the gorgeous colour of it, but usually it's more orange and less red than in this pictures. When I applied at first I was so happy! I finally got a lipstick that is so bright orange that it's almost neon. I was wow'd away :)
The formula is a bit dry (but not drying), so I really recommend you a good lip balm underneath, especially if you have dry lips.
Pros:
+ The colour!
+ Doesn't dry out your lips
+ The package
Cons:
- Dry formula (a bit chalky to apply)
Price: £15.50

Nail Polish in Gamma
It's a gorgeous neon orange nail polish.
Ahh.. lately I've been obsessing over the orange colour, so this is perfect for me! It's bright, it's neon and it's ORANGE! What more do you want?
The first picture is the most colour accurate from the bunch.
The formula was good, as with all other Illamasqua's nail polishes. I needed 2 coats, but some nail lines were still a bit visible. The saying power is on the average side (I got one chip in the same day, but the rest of manicure resisted for another 2 days). And as all neon polishes, this one as well dries to a satin finish, so I applied a top coat.
I love this colour so much that I already wore it twice in the past week (and that's a rarity for me, with so many nail polishes that I own).
Pros:
+ The COLOUR
+ The formula
+ The packaging
Cons:
- The price
Price: £13.50
Where to get? HERE
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall: This collection feels fresh with a mixture of pastel colours typical for Spring and neon colours typical for Summer. So weather you pick a neon or a pastel colour, you'll be ready for the next season :D
I especially loved the nail polish (because I'm a nail polish freak) and the lipstick as I don't own anything like it.
Do I recommend it? Yes :)

More swatches :)
This time it's an Essence lipstick in This Is Me.
I really like it's smell -very gentle but sweet - and the cute pink packaging.
Swatches without flash

Nude lips
With the lipstick. As you can see it's very sheer and looks very subtle. Love the formula as it moisturizes my lips :)

Swatches: Manhattan Perfect Creamy & Care in 34N
This lipstick was one of my latest buys. I got it because it was only 2€ and because my orange obsession kicked in again :D
It's a very pretty orange that won't photograph well. It smells very nice and it slightly moisturizes your lips.
I always include a picture of my bare lips, because the level of pigmentation of lips affects the color/pigmentation of lipsticks (and really helps when deciding to buy a lipstick).

Swatches: CCUK in Coral Silk, Hot Pink, Sunset and Wet n Wild 27
Hello!
Today I'll show you the swatches of my latest lipstick haul. I got some CCUK lipsticks (drugstore brand from UK) and another Wet n Wild lipstick as I loved my previous ones!
Let's start with my bare lips.
CCUK Coral Silk (207). They come in pearlescent or creme finish. Personally I prefer cremes as they are more pigmented. But this one, even though it's pearlescent, is quite pigmented.
Next here is CCUK Hot Pink (203), a nice creme.
CCUK Sunset (229) that is a really pigmented pearlescent lipstick.
I really like them :) But the smell reminds me of old lipsticks (I remember that when I was little all lipsticks smelled like this). Some people like this smell, but I don't.
And at last Wet n Wild 27. This one is a gorgeous creme as well!
Now I can't wait for my Fyrinnae Melancholy and Hair Dye to arrive!
Because a woman can't have enough lipsticks (and shoes, and makeup, and clothes ... ;))

Swatches: S-he Lipstick 326 and 458
As promised here are the swatches of my latest S-he lipsticks.
S-he 326 is more moisturizing and less pigmented, while 458 is more pigmented, but still not drying.
I always wanted a purple lipstick and lately, orange has been my obsession :P
Surprisingly, the purple one is very wearable :)
This one is not completely orange, as it's hard to get an orange lipstick in the drugstore, so it's more orange with a strong red undertone.
I love both of them!
Now I just need a real orange lipstick!
Which one is your favourite?

Swatches: Elizabeth Arden lipsticks (Pink Vibration and Red diamond)
I got two Elizabeth Arden lipsticks (Exceptional Lipstick) from my sister. One is Pink Vibration and the other one is Red Diamond.
Pink Vibration is such a perfect Barbie pink!
Red Diamond is a red with an orange undertone and gold glitter.
They both apply very nice and are very pigmented. In fact with only one stroke you get the perfect tube-to-lips color. Love it :)
They both have a creamy formula and aren't drying for my lips (except if you wipe it off your lips).

EOTD: Simply Colorful + mini haul
Helllooooo :))
I went to the only store that sells wet n wild in Slovenia. I wanted to get some nail polishes but they only have like 10 colors and all are kind of classically blah. But I've read some good things about their lipsticks so I decided to give them a try. I bought 2 lipsticks (one orange with sheer coverage and pink with total coverage). I also got 2 Gosh eye pencils (lemon soda & blueberry ice) discounted! :D
How the lipsticks look like
1. Orange one (25)
2. Pink one (32)
I really like them :) They last for long time! But the smell reminds me of old lipsticks (boh?)
And now to the very very simple eye makeup I wore today. I just used the new Gosh pencils.
;)
